What is the CLAT exam?
The CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to leading National Law Universities (NLUs) across the country. Through this exam, candidates can seek admission to five-year integrated law courses (BA LLB, BBA LLB, etc.) and one-year LLM programs.
Millions of candidates apply for CLAT every year, but competition is fierce due to limited seats.
CLAT 2026: Application Deadline
CNLU has clarified to candidates that the application window for CLAT 2026 will close on October 31, 2025. No registrations will be accepted after this date. The exam date and admit card release details will be released soon on the official website.
Eligibility Criteria
CLAT 2026 (UG Course)
Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent.
There is no upper age limit for the application.
CLAT 2026 (PG Course)
Candidates must have an LLB or equivalent degree from a recognised university.
A minimum of 50% marks is required for the general category, while 45% marks are required for SC/ST.
There is no upper age limit here either.

- Click on the “CLAT 2026 Registration” link on the homepage.
- Now, complete a new registration by entering your basic information.
- Then, log in with your user ID and password.
- Carefully complete the application form and upload the required documents.
- Finally, pay the application fee and submit the form.
- Keep the printout of the form safe.
