AIBE Result Validity Extended Till March 2026. Candidates concerned about the validity of their AIBE results are in for major relief. The Bar Council of India (BCI) has extended the validity of All India Bar Examination (AIBE) results until March 31, 2026. This decision was taken following the intervention of the Karnataka High Court. It aims to help law graduates who, despite passing the exam, were unable to begin practice due to administrative delays in enrolment with state bar councils.

The decision follows a directive from the Karnataka High Court
This decision came after a hearing in the Karnataka High Court, where several law graduates raised the issue that their AIBE pass certificates had expired, while their enrolment process was still pending. The court, recognising the seriousness of the situation, advised the Bar Council of India to take action.
The BCI, acting swiftly on the court’s suggestion, announced the extension of the validity of the AIBE results until March 2026. This decision has brought significant relief to hundreds of candidates across the country whose careers were being affected by administrative delays.
A Major Step in the Interest of Students
This decision by the Bar Council of India is being considered a sensitive step in the interest of students. The BCI acknowledged that pending files and verification processes at several state bar councils prevented many eligible candidates from enrolling on time.
Extending the validity of the AIBE results will now provide additional time for all such candidates to complete their registration and begin practising as advocates.
No Relief on Verification Fees
However, the court did not issue any order on the candidates’ demand for a refund of the ₹2,500 verification fee. The High Court clarified that the matter is already pending before the Supreme Court, and therefore, no interference can be made at this time.

BCI Provides Major Relief
The Bar Council of India stated in a statement that this decision was taken keeping administrative constraints in mind. The BCI’s objective is to ensure that no qualified candidate is deprived of a career simply due to procedural delays.
