Will Ladki Bahin Yojana Be Discontinued? Here’s the Latest Government Update

Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana: Recently, there were rumors that the government might discontinue Maharashtra’s well-known Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. However, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has now confirmed that the scheme will continue. He mentioned that the initiative has provided direct financial support to millions of women and has also garnered substantial backing for the Maha Yuti alliance during the elections.

Flood-affected women receive assistance

In October 2025, State Minister Aditi Tatkare announced an extension of the e-KYC deadline for women residing in flood-affected regions by 15 days. Previously, this process was required to be completed by November. Now, women can conveniently finish their e-KYC within the new timeframe.

Why is e-KYC important?

The state government has made e-KYC mandatory for beneficiaries of this scheme to ensure that benefits reach the eligible women and to prevent any fraudulent activities. According to an order issued in September, women have a two-month window to complete this process.

5. If e-KYC has already been completed, you will receive a message stating that.

6. If not, enter the Aadhaar number of your husband or father and repeat the process.

8. After entering all the correct details, click Submit. Once successfully completed, you will receive a message indicating that the e-KYC verification was successful.
