What Is Rajiv Yuva Vikas Scheme? Check Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

Rajiv Yuva Vikas Scheme: To foster the enthusiasm and innovative ideas of young entrepreneurs, the Indian government has launched several loan and funding schemes. These schemes aim to provide financial assistance to small-scale entrepreneurs and strengthen the vision of a self-reliant India. Following the central government’s example, state governments also run similar schemes. The Congress government in Telangana is also running a scheme that provides loans of up to Rs 4 lakh to young people to start their own businesses.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of the Congress government in Telangana launched this scheme in April 2025. The objective of this scheme is to promote self-employment. The application process is completely online. Interested individuals can apply through the official portal tgobmmsnew.cgg.gov.in. This scheme, called the Rajiv Yuva Vikas Scheme, provides loans to youth from various backgrounds, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), minorities, and economically backward classes (EBS) and economically weaker sections (EWS).

Certain eligibility criteria have been established for the Rajiv Yuva Vikas Scheme. For non-agricultural businesses, the age must be between 21 and 55 years, while for agriculture-related businesses, the age must be below 60 years. Applicants in rural areas must have an annual income of ₹1.5 lakh or less, while applicants in urban areas must have an annual income of Rs 2 lakh or less.

To apply for Rajiv Yuva Vikas Scheme, Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Income Certificate, Caste Certificate, Driving License, SADAREM Certificate, Pattadar Passbook, 2 passport size photographs will be required.

How can you apply?

To apply for this scheme, you must complete the registration process on the Observation Management and Monitoring System (OBMMS) portal. Then, download the form, fill in the correct information, and upload the required documents. Rural applicants should visit the Mandal Praja Palana Seva Kendra (MPPSK), while urban counterparts can visit the municipal corporation or regional commissioner’s offices.
