It is noteworthy that the central government had announced the formation of the 8th Central Pay Commission on November 3, 2025.Β The commission, headed by retired judge Ranjana Desai, has been directed to submit its report within 18 months. Following this initiative by the central government, expectations for salary revisions have also intensified in the states.
