Bengal Weather Update: Finally the sky is clearing. For the next few days, the Alipur weather department has not forecasted any warning over West Bengal. On Monday (February 24, 2025) afternoon, IMD Kolkata published their weather forecast on their social media platforms.
Thunderstorm warnings for past few days
In the past few days, most south districts of West Bengal were covered by clouds; chances of rain were there along with strong wind. Some places in the state experienced rain and some strong winds also. It is the season of farming potatoes, and this time of the year normally doesn’t have widespread rain or thunderstorms. The clear sky will definitely make the farmers happy.
‘No warning’ has issued for the entire state
According to the forecast published by the IMD Kolkata, the lowest temperature will remain almost the same for some upcoming days. Days to experience the highest temperature over 30°C. From February 25 to February 28, ‘no warning’ has issued for the entire state. Even in the north of Bengal, the weather is mostly pleasant.”No large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next 5 days over the land area of West Bengal,” IMD Kolkata also said in their forecast.
Shallow to moderate fog
“Shallow to moderate fog likely to prevail at one or two places in morning hours over Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, North Dinajpur districts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal and South 24 Parganas, East Medinipur, West Medinipur, West Burdwan, and Bankura districts of Gangetic West Bengal during the next 24 hours.”
