Vande Bharat Sleeper: The country’s first sleeper train, Vande Bharat, is running between Guwahati and Kamakhya, and is proving very popular. This is why its occupancy rate is exceeding 100%. There’s good news for travelers aboard this royal train. The food and beverage facilities on this train are set to improve. The moment you board, you’ll be in a good mood, making the journey even more enjoyable.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper train has been running full ever since its launch. Since the train’s launch, Indian Railways has been constantly focusing on passenger convenience. Public demand is being addressed in this regard. Travelers requested tea upon boarding the train in the evening. Based on this demand, Indian Railways has decided to provide evening tea on this train and has instructed IRCTC, meaning you’ll be in a good mood as soon as you board.
What additional facilities will passengers receive?
As per IRCTC, alongside tea, non-vegetarian meals are set to be introduced on the train. Passengers will soon have the opportunity to enjoy this service. Given that this train previously operated between West Bengal and Guwahati, there has been a notable demand for non-vegetarian options. IRCTC is currently evaluating which non-vegetarian dishes would be most appealing to the majority of passengers. A decision regarding this will be made shortly.
Snacks with morning tea
According to IRCTC, until now, passengers were only provided with tea in the morning. However, there has been a request for some snacks to accompany the tea. The Railways has acknowledged this request. Soon, you will be offered something to munch on along with your tea.
What meals are currently available?
This train provided dinner at night and only tea in the morning. The meals were customized to suit the tastes of the people from Assam and West Bengal.
