1. Challans must be resolved within 45 days

According to the new regulations, any challan issued for your vehicle needs to be settled within 45 days. Neglecting this could lead to legal consequences.

2. Delays may affect DL and RC services

Additionally, if you fail to pay or address the challan promptly, your driving license and vehicle registration services may be temporarily halted.

3. Untimely challenges will be deemed accepted

If the vehicle’s driver does not contest the challan within the specified timeframe, it will automatically be regarded as accepted by the system.

4. Online challenge option available first

With the new system, drivers will initially have the chance to contest the challan online. If the issue remains unresolved, only then can they proceed to court.

5. Repeated violations will lead to action

Should a driver breach traffic regulations five times within a year, their driving license may be suspended.

What changes have happened in the rules?

Another major change is that people can no longer challenge their challans directly by going to court. They must first go through the online complaint process.
