PM-KISAN 21st Instalment: The government has extended a significant gift to farmers in states affected by natural disasters. The government has released the 21st instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) ahead of schedule. This relief is being provided to farmers in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand.

In addition, farmers have suffered significant losses due to recent floods and landslides. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that this amount has been transferred directly to farmers’ accounts. This will enable them to meet their immediate needs and resume farming. Farmers may now be wondering when the remaining instalments will be credited to their accounts.

Central Government Provides Relief Package

Due to excessive rainfall this monsoon season, many areas were hit by floods, causing significant damage to farmers’ crops. PM Narendra Modi himself visited the area in September. PM Narendra Modi announced a relief package of ₹4,300 crore.

This includes ex gratia assistance for the families of the deceased and injured, as well as assistance for children under the PM CARES for Children scheme. The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched on February 24, 2019. More than ₹13,626 crore has been disbursed in these three states so far under the PM Kisan Yojana.

Farmers in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand have already received instalments due to the disaster. Farmers in other states will continue to receive PM-KISAN instalments as per their regular schedule.
