21 installments have been released so far
Since the inception of the scheme, the central government has released 21 installments. Through these installments, millions of farmers have received direct financial assistance, providing relief in managing farming-related expenses. Now, farmers are waiting for the 22nd installment, and questions about it are being asked constantly.
When can the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan scheme be released?
Considering the established pattern of releasing installments every four months, it is estimated that the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan scheme may be released in February. Media reports also suggest a similar possibility. However, the central government has not yet made any official announcement regarding the date of the installment. Farmers are advised to rely only on the official website or government notifications.
These reasons can cause the next installment to be delayed
Sometimes, the amount under the PM Kisan scheme does not reach the farmers’ accounts. The main reason for this is minor errors in bank details or documents. Differences in the spelling of the name in the bank account, incorrect account number, error in the IFSC code, multiple beneficiaries linked to the same bank account, or uploading an incorrect bank account are major reasons for payment failure. In such a situation, the installation repeatedly fails.
Application process for the PM Kisan scheme
Farmers who are not yet registered under this scheme can apply online. For this, they need to visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in and register as a new farmer. It is essential to provide correct information regarding the Aadhaar number, mobile number, and bank account during the application process. Along with this, documents related to land ownership and a copy of the bank passbook need to be uploaded. After the verification is complete, farmers become eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme.

Why is e-KYC necessary, and how to do it?
E-KYC has been made mandatory to receive the benefits of the PM Kisan Yojana. Installments are not released without e-KYC. Farmers can visit the official website and select the e-KYC option in the Farmers Corner section. E-KYC is completed after verifying the Aadhaar number and the linked mobile number through an OTP. After this, there will be no hindrance in receiving the installments.
