Subhadra Yojana: Have you seen Rs 10,000 hit the accounts of women under the Subhadra Yojana? There’s some big news for women in Odisha today. The state government is rolling out the funds under its flagship Subhadra Yojana today, January 22, 2026. This payment was initially set for January 18, but it got pushed back due to some administrative issues. Now, Rs 5,000 is being sent straight to the bank accounts of eligible women today.
What is Subhadra Yojana and how much money do you get?
The Subhadra Yojana is a key women’s welfare initiative from the Odisha government, which kicked off on September 17, 2024. Through this scheme, eligible women get financial support of Rs 10,000 every year. This amount is split into two payments of Rs 5,000 each year. A woman can benefit up to Rs 50,000 throughout the entire duration of the scheme.
Which women will receive payment today?
As per the state government, funds from the Subhadra Yojana will be deposited into the accounts of over 457,000 women today. This includes women who have recently been added to the beneficiary list or those who missed out on payments for any reason. The funds will be transferred directly to their bank accounts using Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
When was the last time you got money?
The last payment from the Subhadra Yojana was made on Rakshabandhan, August 8, 2025. At that time, a total of Rs 5,000 crore was distributed to around 1 crore women. To qualify, women must be permanent residents of Odisha and aged between 21 and 60 years. If a woman is already receiving Rs 1,500 or more monthly or Rs 18,000 or more annually from any state or central government scheme, she won’t be eligible for this program.
How to check name in the list?
Women can check from home whether their name is in the beneficiary list or not.
For this, first go to the website subhadra.odisha.gov.in.
Scroll down on the website and click on Beneficiary List.
After this select district, block and ward and click on View.
The complete list will be displayed on the screen.
Important things to keep in mind
To benefit from the scheme, the name on the Aadhaar card and the bank account must match. If there are any discrepancies in the name, address, or spelling, make the corrections first. The bank account must be active, otherwise the funds may be blocked. If you encounter any problems with the application or payment, women can seek assistance from the Common Service Center (CSC) or the Subhadra Yojana helpline.
