Change in GST

There may be significant changes in terms of GST reform in September. The 56th meeting of the GST Council will be held on September 3 and 4, 2025, in New Delhi. According to media reports, there may be a change in the tax slab. Instead of the current four tax slabs, now there can be only two slabs of 5 per cent and 12 per cent. If prices decrease, the general public will experience significant relief.

SBI card rules will change

If you have a Lifestyle Home Centre SBI card or its Select version, starting from September 1, you will no longer earn reward points on payments made to digital gaming and government portals. Apart from this, charges may increase for bill payments, fuel purchases, or online shopping.

Withdrawing cash from ATM will be expensive

Many banks have announced the implementation of new rules on cash withdrawal from ATM. Customers will have to pay more charge for withdrawing cash more than the prescribed limit.
