Which app to download?
To add a family member, you need to download the Mera Ration 2.0 app on your mobile phone. This app is available on the Google Play Store. The entire process can be completed online through this app.
How to add a new member’s name
First, download the Mera Ration 2.0 app from the Play Store on your mobile phone. After opening the app, enter your Aadhaar number. Note that your mobile number must be linked to your Aadhaar card for verification via OTP. After entering the OTP received on your mobile, set a PIN for the app.
Then, go to the Family Details option in the app. Here you will see the information of all the family members already included in the ration card. To add a new name, click on the ‘New Member’ option. Now fill in the required information and submit it. After the process is complete, your request will be registered.

Make sure your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar
If your mobile number is not linked to your Aadhaar card, it is essential to update it first. You can visit the official UIDAI website for this. On the website, go to the My Aadhaar section and select the Book Appointment option. Then choose your location or city and book an appointment.
Now, enter your mobile number and captcha and verify with OTP. After that, select the resident type and enter your new mobile number. Proceed by selecting the appointment date and time.
After carefully checking all the information, submit the form. Go to your nearest Aadhaar center on the scheduled date and time. Your biometric information will be collected there, and your new mobile number will be linked to your Aadhaar. In some cases, this can also be done from home using an app.
