Along with this, due to this e-KYC campaign, it has been noticed that many government officials, employees, teachers, salaried employees of various private companies, traders, and businessmen also have ration cards. They were taking advantage of the free food grains every month. Food grains in the name of the deceased person were also being taken by the family. Now, there is a scrutiny on this.

At the same time, the income of many families has now increased. Due to this, a digital strike has been carried out on all such ration card holders. Many government officials, employees, teachers, salaried employees of various private companies, traders, and businessmen also have ration cards. On the basis of that, they collect food grains every month. It is alleged that they sell this food grains to various home industries, poultry farming and other places.

After this, the number of those with high income has now been noticed through e-KYC. So far, 18 lakh ration cards have been cancelled in the state in this campaign. E-KYC of more than 1.5 crore cardholders is pending. It has been revealed in the data that 17.95 lakh ration cards have been cancelled in the state in the central government’s e-KYC campaign for Aadhaar linking.

Data regarding the city with the highest number of cancelled ration cards in the state has also come to light. The highest number of ration cards have been cancelled in the state capital, Mumbai, with 4.80 lakh cancelled, and in Thane with 1.35 lakh cancelled. Out of a total of 6.85 crore cards in the state, E-KYC for 5.20 crore has been completed. Information has emerged that 1.65 crore are pending.
