In fact, the Modi government has issued new guidelines for all those availing the benefits of ration cards in the country, where all your documents need to be verified within the stipulated time. This includes Aadhaar card linking, information of all family members and documents related to eligibility.
After this directive, if any ration card subscriber does not get his documents verified within the time limit, then he will be deprived of the benefits of free ration.

How to do e-KYC from mobile phone for ration card subscribers?
Linking mobile number and Aadhaar is required for ration card beneficiaries. This makes it easy to do OTP based KYC. However, cardholders do not have to go through much hassle for this. You can do e-KYC from your mobile phone even from home. Let’s see the complete process.
- Install Mera eKYC and Adhaar Face RD app on mobile
- Verify your location on the app
- Open Mera eKYC app and fill the required details
- Enter Aadhaar number
- Enter 12 digit Aadhaar number, captcha and OTP (will come on mobile number)
- Fill all the details related to Aadhaar
- After OTP verification, Aadhaar details will be displayed on the screen
- Select Face eKYC option
- Click on Face eKYC option
- Mobile camera will be activated
- Click on the picture and submit
- Follow the rules shown before and place your face in front of the camera
- Then type submit
- Your eKYC is complete
Where can ration card customers do eKYC?
After the government issued this instruction for ration card subscribers, the Food and Supplies Department has issued instructions to the officials of all the districts to make all the beneficiaries aware of this.
Everyone has been asked to visit the ration shop of the Panchayat Office or the nearest service center to verify their documents. In many states, a deadline has also been fixed for eKYC. In such a situation, the ration card subscriber will have to get the verification done within that deadline.
