Indian Railway Update: If you travel by train every day, then this news is very important for you. Trains are sometimes cancelled, so it’s essential to be aware of such cancellations. The cancellation of the 55122 Siwan-Samastipur passenger intercity train, which runs on the Chhapra-Siwan railway section, has increased the difficulties for passengers. This is especially problematic for those who travel to the Daudpur area.
According to railway guidelines, the intercity train will remain completely suspended for more than a month. This is forcing passengers to travel by bus, auto-rickshaw, and other vehicles. Private bus conductors are also charging exorbitant fares. According to daily commuters, train travel is much cheaper and more comfortable than bus travel.
Due to the train’s suspension, passengers are being forced to rely on bus services. Previously, passengers could easily travel to and from Patna by train. However, the railway’s decision has created difficulties for daily commuters.
How long will the service remain suspended?
The sudden cancellation of the intercity train service on this route has not only increased the financial burden on passengers but has also made reaching work on time a major challenge. The Siwan-Samastipur Intercity train has been cancelled from December 25th to February 28th, 2026. This means that the train service will only resume from March 1st, allowing passengers to save money and reach work on time.
Students, professionals, and laborers affected.
The railway’s decision is affecting not only professionals and students but also labourers. Students are unable to reach school and college on time. Professionals are also relying on private vehicles, buses, and other modes of transport to reach their offices. Labourers are also facing deductions in their daily wages due to arriving late for work. People are demanding that the train service be restored as soon as possible to alleviate their difficulties. Demand Rises for Early Resumption of Intercity Train Service
Harimohan Singh alias Guddu Singh, Pankaj Singh, Anil Singh, Muktinath Yadav, Ashok Ram, Ravi Singh, Abhishek Singh, and others from the Dainik Jagran Panchayat Club in the Daudpur, Madansath, and Jaitpur areas have appealed to the railway administration to resume the Intercity train service, citing the increasing difficulties faced by passengers.
Service Had Been Cancelled
It is worth noting that January and February are considered months of intense cold. Dense fog makes train operation a very challenging task. To ensure passenger safety and prevent any untoward incidents, the railway authorities had cancelled train services. This decision was taken in December.
