A new mobile application, Rail Mitra, has been launched to ensure the safety of passengers. This app will provide railway services to passengers through modern digital technology.
Rail Mitra will be truly special. If you encounter any problems on the train, you can get quick assistance through this app. This app has been launched by the Kerala government. The Rail Mitra mobile application was officially inaugurated at the Thaikkad Police Training College. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launched the app.

Passenger Convenience on Mobile
The Rail Mitra app, launched by the government, will be very significant in the field of security. This app has been launched under the Jan Maitri Security Project. The app aims to protect the lives, property, and privacy of passengers.
Now, Rail Mitra will enable direct and strong communication between passengers and the railway police. Security will be strengthened on platforms and in railway premises. For this, passengers will first have to download the app. Only then will they be able to use it.

To provide railway police services to common citizens, Rail Mitra has also been linked with the Kerala Police’s official POL-App. Passengers can download the POL-App and access Rail Mitra’s services through it. Currently, five major services of the Kerala Railway Police are available on this app. If this step proves successful, more modern features may be added in the future.

To make the Rail Mitra app even more technologically effective, several advanced features will be added. These include Railway Information System Centre services, train-based duty analysis, fingerprint verification module, and special modules to deal with incidents like stone-pelting and train vandalism.
