Under the PM Kusum Yojana, farmers can get expensive solar equipment installed by paying just 10% of the cost. With which they can get free electricity. You will not have to worry about electricity bills. You can irrigate crops at no cost in any season.
Solar pump will be available in PM Kusum Yojana
The Modi government has implemented numerous schemes for farmers across the country, including the initiative to provide low-cost solar pumps, which was launched in 2019. The objective of PM Kusum Yojana is to connect farmers with solar energy and clean energy is also being promoted for free by reducing dependence on diesel-petrol or electricity.
Benefits in PM Kusum Yojana
Under this scheme implemented in the country, farmers can take advantage, for which solar pumps can be installed. According to the rules in the scheme, the farmer must spend only 10% of the money to install solar equipment. Due to which the government gets 60% subsidy and 30% loan from the bank. So due to the pump running on solar energy, the electricity bill comes to zero.
Who can apply in PM Kusum Yojana
If someone is a farmer, then he can get the benefit of PM Kusum Yojana. For which the government has kept the eligibility. The farmer should have agricultural land or land leased. Along with this, there should be an Aadhar card, a declaration form, a land ownership certificate, a bank account and a passport-size photo.
How to Apply from home
The government has made it easy to apply for PM Kusum Yojana, so that any farmer can apply for the scheme from home. The process for which is explained here.
First, download the PM-Kusum Mobile App.
Now choose your state and language and proceed.
After this, click on ‘Apply for PM-Kusum Yojana’.
The farmer registration form will open on the screen in front of you.
After entering all the details correctly, click on Register.
Now enter how much power a solar pump you want,
After which, how much money will have to be paid, it will be visible.
Further, fill in all the information asked in the form correctly and upload the documents asked.
Let us tell you that after filling your form, it may take 10 days to 90 days for the subsidy money and loan to be approved. For which you have to wait. You must keep the application documents safe, as they may be requested by government officials.
