PM Kisan Yojana – Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN), eligible farmers get financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually. The government sends this to the farmers’ accounts in three installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Each installment is of 2,000 rupees.

When will the 20th installment of PM Kisan come?

The 19th installment of PM Kisan Yojana was released in February 2025. In this, an amount of about Rs 22,000 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of farmers. There is a gap of three months between each installment. This means that the next i.e. 20th installment can be paid by the end of June. However, it has not been officially announced yet.

The central government has clarified that it is mandatory for every farmer to complete e-KYC, otherwise the installment can be stopped. According to the guidelines issued on the official website of the scheme, farmers can do OTP based e-KYC on pmkisan.gov.in portal. If you do not have online facility, then you can go to the nearest CSC center and get biometric KYC done.

 

How to check beneficiary status

• Go to www.pmkisan.gov.in.

• Click on ‘Know Your Status’ option on the right side.

• Enter registration number and captcha.

• On clicking ‘Get Data’ the status will appear on the screen.

How to check name in beneficiary list?

• Open the ‘Beneficiary List’ tab on the website.

• Fill in the details of State, District, Block and Village.

• Click on ‘Get Report’.

• The complete list will be available on the screen.

 Eligibility for PM Kisan

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

• He must have cultivable land.

• Only small and marginal farmers are eligible.

• Government or pension recipients are not eligible for the scheme.

 

How to apply in PM Kisan?

• Go to pmkisan.gov.in.

• Click on ‘New Farmer Registration’ tab.

• Fill Aadhaar number, CAPTCHA and other details.

• Submit the form and keep its printout safe.
