The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is a major financial support for millions of small and marginal farmers in the country. Launched by the central government in 2019, the scheme provides financial assistance to farmers to meet their agricultural and household needs. With the beginning of the new year 2026, farmers are discussing the possibility of the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme being released this January. What are the updates on this issue?
Farmers living in rural areas are very excited about this. After receiving the 21st installment, they are eagerly awaiting the next installment. However, the government has not yet announced an official date for the installment release.

Meanwhile, based on media reports and past patterns, speculation is rife about when the next installment might be released. The 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana was released in November last year. Under this scheme, the central government provides eligible farmers with annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000 in three equal installments.
Each installment is Rs 2,000 and is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account via DBT. According to media reports, the 22nd installment is expected in February. It is highly unlikely that the 22nd installment will be released in January.

To benefit from this scheme without interruption, farmers must complete all necessary procedures on time. Correct e-KYC, Aadhaar linking, and bank account information are crucial. Any issues with these could result in installment delays. The government periodically advises farmers to keep their documents updated so they can continue to receive uninterrupted benefits from this scheme. As soon as the government announces the installment release date, this information will be made public.
