Now days farmers in our country haveone common question: When will the 21st installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana come? To inform about that, we bring all the information in this single article.
Why the scheme is important
The central government had already deposited the PM Kisan Fund for farmers in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand affected by floods and rains. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan transferred the money to farmers in these states on September 26, 2025. It’s worth noting that the 20th installment of PM Kisan was released in August 2025, directly deposited into the accounts of over 85 million farmers. The next installment is now expected to be distributed by the end of October or the first week of November. Launched in February 2019, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana provides eligible farmers with ₹6,000 per year in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.
The funds are transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. The scheme aims to help small and marginal farmers meet their agricultural expenses and support their livelihoods between harvest seasons. E-KYC is required for the PM Kisan Yojana. OTP-based e-KYC is available on the PM Kisan portal. Biometric-based e-KYC can also be performed at the nearest Common Service Center. The PM-KISAN mobile app was launched on February 24, 2020.
When will the money come?
In 2023, the app launched with an additional face authentication feature. This allows remote farmers to complete e-KYC by scanning their face without OTP or fingerprint. The portal and mobile app offer services such as self-registration, benefit status tracking, and facial recognition-based e-KYC. Farmers in remote areas can complete e-KYC through face scans, and there are also provisions for neighbors to assist them.
According to media reports, the 21st installment may be deposited before Diwali 2025 to provide relief to farmers.
