PM Kisan Update- Farmers are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. About 9.8 crore farmers of the country are also upset due to the delay in the 20th installment. If we look at last year’s record, farmers have received the installment in June. Now in the year 2025, July is also about to end but the government has not yet told when the next installment of PM Kisan will come?
What is PM Kisan Yojana?
The PM Kisan scheme was started in the year 2019, when the then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced it in the interim budget. Under this, the central government provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to small and marginal farmers, which is given in three installments i.e. Rs 2,000 in four months. The government sends an amount of Rs 2,000 to the farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This money comes directly into the bank accounts of the farmers. It is considered one of the largest DBT schemes in the world. So far 19 installments have been given.
19th Tranche : Released in February 2025.
18th Tranche: Was given in October 2024.
17th installment: Received in June 2024.
Who gets the benefit of the scheme?
To avail the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana, a person has to fulfil these eligibility criteria.
He must be an Indian citizen.
He should have cultivable land.
He should be a small or marginal farmer.
He may not have paid income tax.
He is not getting pension of Rs 10,000 or more.
He should not be an institutional landholder.
What is required to get the 20th installment of PM Kisan?
Complete e-KYC.
Link Aadhaar to Bank Account.
Verify the bank details.
Correct information related to land records.
Check beneficiary status.
Update mobile number.
How to update land address?
Visit the portal https://pmkisan.gov.in.
Click on ‘State Transfer Request’ in ‘Farmers Corner’.
Enter Registration Number or Aadhaar Number.
Enter the captcha code, then ask for OTP.
Enter OTP and upload documents related to your land like Khasra, Khatauni etc.
Check all the information and submit the form.
How to check your beneficiary status?
Go to www.pmkisan.gov.in.
Open the Beneficiary Status tab.
Enter Aadhaar number or account number.
Click on Get Data.
View your status and installment details on the screen.
