Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Bihar, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh from today. This tour started from Siwan, Bihar, where he took a historic step and transferred the first installment directly to the bank accounts of 53,666 beneficiaries of the state under the Urban Housing Scheme. This amount is for those people who are taking the first step toward building their dream concrete house.

Along with this, PM Modi also performed Griha Pravesh by handing over the keys of newly constructed houses to 6,684 poor families. From Siwan, PM Modi has released the first installment under the Urban Housing Scheme for more than 53,600 beneficiaries of Bihar. If you are also a beneficiary of this scheme, then you can check your payment status immediately by following the easy methods given below.

Check if your installment has come to the account or not

If you are also a beneficiary of PM Awas Yojana and want to know whether the first installment has reached your account or not, then adopt these simple methods:

1. Check SMS

If you are a beneficiary of PM Awas Yojana, then the message of the first installment released today must have come on your registered mobile number.

Usually, the information about the installment being sent by the department is given through SMS.

Also, the bank also sends a message when money comes into your account. Through these messages, you can easily find out whether you have received the first installment or not. This is the easiest and quickest way.

2. Check the balance from the ATM

If for some reason you have not received the SMS, then you can go to your nearest ATM and check your bank balance or take out a mini statement. This will immediately tell whether money has been deposited in your account or not.

3. Get the passbook updated

If you do not have a debit card or you cannot use the ATM, then you can go to your bank branch and get an entry made in your passbook. This will make it clear whether you have received the installment or not. This is a reliable and traditional method.

PMAY Urban

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban – PMAY-U) is an ambitious scheme of the Government of India, whose main objective is to provide a permanent house to every needy family. This scheme was launched in June 2015, and its goal is to overcome the shortage of housing in urban areas.

Under this scheme, families who do not have a permanent house or live in dilapidated houses are provided financial assistance to build a new house. Also, in some cases, the government itself builds the houses and provides them. This scheme focuses on providing affordable housing to the urban poor including the economically weaker sections (EWS), low-income group (LIG), and middle-income group (MIG). It aims to develop slum areas and provide a respectable roof to everyone for a better life.
