How to check the status of your PAN card?
If your PAN card is not active, then don’t worry. You can easily check its status by visiting the official website of the Income Tax Department, incometax.gov.in.
Verification Procedure:
- First, visit the official website of the Income Tax Department, incometax.gov.in.
- Then, go to the Quick Links section and select the “Verify PAN Status” option.
- Next, fill in the required information and click on “Continue”.
- An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
- Enter the OTP and click on “Validate”.
- If your PAN card is active, a message will appear on the screen: “PAN is Active, and Details are as Per PAN.”
- Linking your PAN card with Aadhaar is no longer just a formality, but an essential requirement.
