Your information is hidden inside the PAN number
A lot of your personal information is hidden in your PAN number. The first three letters of the PAN number are in English which can be from AAA to ZZZ. The fourth letter indicates which tax category this PAN card is associated with. If someone is a normal person, then his PAN number will have P written in it, whereas the company’s PAN number has the letter C. The fifth letter is the first letter of your family’s surname. For example, if your surname is Sharma, then the fifth letter will be S. The rest of the numbers are determined by the Income Tax Department, so that every person’s PAN number is unique and different.
Due to this special design, every person’s PAN number is different and he is also identified through it. Therefore, PAN card is not just a number, but a part of your identity. That is why it becomes very important to check its status if you are worried about the PAN card not working or being blocked.
