PAN Card 2.0 Update: Since the Government of India launched PAN Card 2.0, there has been considerable curiosity about it. PAN Card 2.0 will not only provide security to the people but will also make it easier to maintain. You can also get a digital version of the e-PAN card. After paying a nominal fee, your physical PAN card will be delivered to the address you provided.

If you have a regular PAN card that does not have a QR code, do not worry, as it is still fully valid. You do not need to update the old PAN card. Even after the introduction of PAN Card 2.0, the old documents will remain valid. Functional: You can easily obtain a PAN Card 2.0 by applying for it.

Who will issue PAN 2.0 or e-PAN?

PAN Card 2.0 and e-PAN Card are issued by one agency. PAN service in the country is provided through two authorised agencies. Protean eGov Technologies Limited (NSDL) is at the forefront in this regard. Talking about the second agency, it is UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited (UTIITSL). On getting this information, you need to check the back of your existing PAN card to know which agency has issued this PAN card to you.

How to apply for the PAN 2.0 card through Protean (NSDL).

First, visit the reprint website of Protean.

Then you will need to enter your PAN number, Aadhaar number and date of birth.

After this, you must accept the declarations and click Submit.

Then, verify the masked PAN details, and you will need to select mobi, e, ema, or l, or both, to receive the OTP.

After this,  you will receive an OTP. Enter it and verify it within 10 minutes. Then, go to the payment page, accept the terms and pay a reprint fee of Rs 50.

After payment, you will receive a receipt. Save it.

Then, after 24 hours, you can download your e-PAN.

The physical PAN card will be delivered to your registered address within 15 to 20 days.
