To make any changes to your ration card, you will need certain documents. These include your ration card, Aadhaar card, and one other identity proof such as a Voter ID, PAN card, or driving license.
How to Update Your Ration Card Online
For online corrections, first, visit the official website of the Food and Supply Department, epds.nic.in. On the website’s homepage, you will see the Ration Card Correction option; click on it.
A new page will open where you will need to enter your ration card number and Aadhaar card number. After filling in the information, click on the Search button. All your ration card-related information will appear on the screen.
Now, carefully change the information that needs correction. After making all the changes, click on the Submit button. Your application will be successfully submitted.
How to Check Online Application Status
If you have applied online for a ration card update, you can easily check its status from home. For this, go to the Food and Supply Department website and select the Application Status option. Enter your ration card number and Aadhaar number and click Search. Your application status will be displayed on the screen.

How to Update Your Ration Card Offline
If you do not want to use the online process or do not have internet access, an offline method is also available. To do this, you will need to visit the Food and Supply Department office in your area.
There, you will have to fill out an application form and submit all the necessary documents. After submitting the form, you will be given a receipt. The necessary changes to the ration card are usually made within 30 days of the application date.

Please note that there is no fee for updating basic information such as name, address, or date of birth on the ration card. This service is completely free.
