Earlier, switching companies seemed difficult. Now, the process is as easy as mobile number portability. This means you can change your LPG company and get service from a new one. Here is the process and important things to know.

How to Transfer

If you are unhappy with your current LPG company, you can change to another company. India’s three major oil companies – Indane, Bharat Gas, and HP Gas – have agreed to introduce inter-company portability. This works like mobile number portability. You can switch your LPG service from one company to another easily.

How to Change Your LPG Connection

You can change your LPG gas connection online. First, sign up on your current company’s website. Then, transfer your connection to another company. For example, if you use Indane and want to move to HP Gas, go to the Indane website.

When you make the request online, you will get a confirmation email. You need to return your old LPG cylinders. After that, the new company will give you their cylinders. You do not need to pay any extra fees.
