Meerut-Varanasi Vande Bharat:- The route of the Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat train has been extended to Varanasi. Now Varanasi is going to get another Vande Bharat Express this week. Most people nowadays prefer to travel by Vande Bharat Express train. Currently, 150 Vande Bharat train services are being run across India. This new Vande Bharat Express train will be an extension of Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express (train number 22490/22489). The approval to extend the route of this train to Varanasi was already received, but due to some problem, the Railways did not extend its route. This train will run on a new route from August 27.
This new train will start its journey on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 as Meerut City-Varanasi-Meerut City Vande Bharat Express. It is being said that this train will promote tourism in Meerut, Ayodhya, Lucknow and Varanasi.
This train will cover the distance of 783 km between Meerut and Varanasi in 11 hours 50 minutes. This train will pass through Ayodhya Dham Junction.
At which stations will this train stop?
Between Meerut and Varanasi, this Vande Bharat Express will stop at five stations, including Hapur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow NR and Ayodhya Dham Junction.
Vande Bharat Time Table
Train number 22490, Meerut-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express will leave Meerut City at 6:35 am and reach Varanasi Junction at 18:25 pm. In the return, train number 22489, Varanasi-Meerut Vande Bharat Express will leave Varanasi Junction at 09:10 am and reach Meerut City at 21:05 pm.
Ticket price
This train will have eight coaches. It will have two types of seats: AC chair car and executive chair car. The price of AC chair car will be Rs 1,915 and the ticket for executive chair car will be Rs 3,525. Passengers can take tickets according to their convenience and budget.
