A woman from a self-help group said, “I received training in different types of work by joining a self-help group. With that training, I make home decoration items from discarded things. The demand for these items is growing. We sell them directly and also through other channels. We make items from jute rope and wool, color paintings on glass bottles, and colorful clay items. This work helps us earn income. Self-help groups help maintain the financial balance of families who are backward.”
