Driving License at 16 Years Old

With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, the new rules will also facilitate the issuance of driving licenses to teenagers aged 16 to 18 years. A learner’s license system will be implemented for this purpose. This rule will apply to electric vehicles with a capacity of up to 1500 watts. Meanwhile, in the renewal process, people up to 60 years of age will now have to submit a medical certificate, while passing a driving test will be mandatory upon reaching 75 years of age. Improving Road Safety

According to Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, when 16-year-old teenagers drive vehicles with the help of their parents, they need to have a driving license. The new amendments will ensure that only skilled and trained drivers receive licenses, which will help in controlling road accidents. This step is part of an effort to improve road safety and prevent accidents.
