New Delhi: The luck of government employees has shone. In May, the government employees of Madhya Pradesh received a significant gift. The Central Region Electricity Distribution Company has increased the dearness allowance for the employees working in the seventh pay scale. The electricity distribution company has announced a 5 per cent DA increase for its employees, which will see a bumper increase in salary.
The Central Region Electricity Distribution Company has increased the DA of the incoming employees by 3per centt from July 1, 2024. Whereas a 2 per cent DA increase has been announced for January 1, 2025. A large number of employees will get to see the benefit of this. The increased DA will soon start getting transferred to the accounts of the employees. This amount will work like a dose in inflation.
How much has the DA increased?
As per the order of the electricity distribution company, the DA of the employees has now increased to 55 per cent. Earlier it was 50 percent, in which 5 percent has been increased. This increase has been done for two half-years. The rates of 3 percent will be effective from July 1, 2024. While the rates of 2 percent will be considered effective from January 1, 2025. The increased dearness allowance will be transferred with the salary of May and June.
DA arrears will be paid in instalments.
Do you know that the dearness allowance, which has been increased, will be paid in 5 instalments. The arrears amount will be paid in five equal instalments from July 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025. The amount will come into the account with the salary of May 2025, June 2025, July 2025, August 2025 and September 2025. Along with this, the arrears amount will be paid in a lump sum to those personnel who have retired/died from July 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025 or their nominated member.
When was the DA increased?
For information, let us tell you that in the month of April, the Mohan Yadav government of Madhya Pradesh gave a big gift to the state employees by increasing their DA by 5 percent. It was increased by 3% from July 2024 and 2% from January 2025. According to this, DA had reached 55 percent. The new rates will be applicable from July 1, 2024, in such a situation, the benefit of arrears will also be available from July to March.
