Know why the Aadhaar card is necessary?

Aadhaar card is an essential document. It cannot be replicated for any Indian resident. It also keeps their biometric information linked. This system helps identify and prevent fake or non-existent identities. This reduces the incidence of data leaks. By removing duplicate and fake Aadhaar numbers, the government also ensures that the benefits of government schemes are provided only to eligible people.
