The Haryana government has taken a big and historic decision to empower women. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has announced the implementation of “Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana” across the state after the cabinet meeting. Under this scheme, the government will give financial assistance of ₹ 2,100 directly to eligible women every month. This revolutionary scheme will be launched on 25 September 2025 on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.

Who will get the benefit of ‘Lado Laxmi Yojana’

This scheme is for those women who are financially weak and want to become self-reliant.

Income limit

In the first phase, the benefit of this scheme will be given to women of those families whose annual family income is less than ₹ 1 lakh. The Chief Minister informed that other families will also be included in the next phase.

Age limit

All women aged 23 years or above as of 25 September 2025 will be eligible for this scheme.

Marital status

Both married and unmarried women will get the benefit of the scheme.

Residence condition

The woman must be a resident of Haryana for the last 15 years.

How many women in a family will get the benefit

This is the most special thing about this scheme. Chief Minister Saini clarified that there is no limit on the number of eligible women in a family. If there are 3 sisters or mother-daughter in the same family and they all fulfill the eligibility conditions, then all of them will get a benefit of ₹ 2,100 every month separately.

Who will not be eligible for the scheme

The government has also clarified that if a woman is already receiving monthly financial assistance of more than ₹ 2,100 under any other government scheme, then she will not get the benefit of the ‘Lado Laxmi’ scheme.

But a big relief has also been given. The Chief Minister also announced that apart from stage-3 and stage-4 cancer patients, women suffering from 54 rare diseases, who are receiving any pension, will also be given the additional benefit of the ‘Lado Laxmi’ scheme.

How will the scheme be implemented

The Chief Minister said that in the first phase, 19 to 20 lakh women of the state are expected to get the benefit of this scheme. The gazette notification of the scheme will be issued within the next 7 days. Apart from this, a mobile app will also be launched to ease the application process.

This scheme will not only give economic security to women but will also provide them with an opportunity to live with dignity and independence in society. This is a symbol of a strong commitment of the Haryana government towards women.
