Today, on 21st June, the 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. On one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did yoga with about three lakh people in Visakhapatnam, while on the other hand, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the state-level yoga program organized on Atal Path in the capital Bhopal. This time the theme of Yoga Day was “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, which gives the message of global unity and collective welfare.

PM Modi’s message to connect the world with yoga

In fact, in the national program organized in Visakhapatnam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that yoga means to connect, and today yoga has connected the whole world. He said that more than 175 countries of the world supported India’s yoga proposal, it is a matter of pride for India. During this, the Prime Minister also talked about the problem of obesity and said that obesity is increasing rapidly in the world. To fight this, we have to make changes in our diet. He reiterated the challenge of reducing 10% oil in food and appealed to the people to join it. Along with this, the PM also said that research is going on on yoga in the medical institutions of the country so that its scientificity can be included in modern medicine.

PM Modi also said that today when the world is going through a period of tension, conflict, and instability, yoga gives direction to peace. He said that the culture of India teaches us to walk on the journey of ‘I to We’, which is the core of service and co-existence.

Here in Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also participated in International Yoga Day and practiced yoga with hundreds of people on Atal Path. During this, he said that yoga is India’s ancient tradition and the need of today. He described it as the basis of self-confidence, mental peace, and healthy life and thanked Prime Minister Modi for taking yoga to the global stage.

Speaking on the theme of this year’s Yoga Day, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’, CM Mohan Yadav said that this is not just a slogan, but a collective responsibility of all of us. He emphasized, “Our health, environment, and future are interconnected. Yoga is the most effective way to balance these three.”
