Update Name, Address, and Date of Birth
First, you need to visit the official website of NSDL or UTIITSL.
Then, click on the “Changes/Correction in PAN” option.

Next, you will need to enter some basic details such as your PAN number, name, date of birth, and email address.
A 15-digit token number will then be generated for you.

After that, select and correct the details you want to change.
Then, you will need to upload documents such as proof of address, proof of date of birth, photograph, etc.

Afterward, you will have to pay the fee and submit the application.
Finally, you will need to download the acknowledgment slip. You can use this slip to check the status of your application later.

Penalty for PAN and Aadhaar Card Misuse?
It is important to know that if someone creates a fake Aadhaar card, according to the UIDAI’s official website, they may face up to 3 years of imprisonment and a fine of up to โน10,000. Information related to PAN cards is maintained by the Income Tax Department.
Also, if you use a fake PAN card for important financial transactions, the Income Tax Department may take strict action against you. The last date to link your PAN card with your Aadhaar card was December 31, 2025. This deadline has now passed.
