Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has announced a price drop after the new GST rates came into effect. The Government of India recently reduced GST on bikes and scooters with less than 350cc capacity. Because of this, prices of most Honda bikes and scooters have come down significantly.
Honda’s popular scooter Activa 110 has become cheaper by up to ₹7,874. Dio 110 buyers can save up to ₹7,157. Activa 125 now costs ₹8,259 less, and Dio 125 has a price drop of up to ₹8,042.
In motorcycles, Shine 100 and Shine 100 DX have been reduced by ₹5,672 and ₹6,256 respectively. The newly launched CB125 Hornet will be cheaper by up to ₹9,229. Prices of Hornet 2.0 and NX200 have dropped by ₹13,026 and ₹13,978.
The biggest benefit is for customers of the CB350 range. CB350 has become cheaper by up to ₹18,887, CB350 H’ness by up to ₹18,598, and CB350RS by up to ₹18,857.
Honda believes this GST reduction has come just before the festive season, which will help attract new buyers. It will also help increase the reach of two-wheelers. However, Honda is still assessing the impact of higher GST on bikes above 350cc, which will affect their BigWing lineup.
