A meeting of the Central Board of Trustees of EPFO was held, which was led by Union Labourr Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. After the,is the proposal was also sent to the Finance Ministry. Now the government has officially implemented it. The government has approved 8.25 per cent interest, which will prove to be good news. Now the government can release this amount to EPFO, after which it will be given to the PF subscribers.

8.25 per cent interest has been announced for the financial year 2024-2025. About 7 crore employees will get the benefit of this. All the account holders will soon be credited with their yearly money.
How many new members joined?

A year before this, i.e. in the year 2020-2021, the interest rate on EPF was fixed at 8 per cent. In 2021-22, it was decided to reduce it to 8.1 per cent. This was the lowest interest rate since 1977-78, four decades ago. The government provides good interest every financial year.
