Objective of the Scheme

The main objective of the Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme is to transform young people from job seekers into job creators. The government wants educated and skilled youth to start their own small and large businesses, which will not only increase their income but also create new employment opportunities in the state. This scheme is specifically designed for young people who were unable to implement their ideas due to a lack of capital.

Who can benefit from the scheme?

This scheme is only available to permanent residents of Rajasthan. The applicant’s age should be between 18 and 45 years. The government has ensured that only active young people of the right age can join this scheme and benefit from it. The online application process has been started to save young people from having to visit government offices.

Loan provisions for less qualified youth

Young people educated from 8th to 12th grade will be provided interest-free loans of up to ₹3.5 lakh to start self-employment ventures in the service and trade sectors. For young people interested in starting work in the manufacturing sector, this limit has been set at ₹7.5 lakh. In addition, young people in this category will also be provided with margin money of up to ₹35,000 as a loan, to easily cover initial expenses.

Higher loans for highly educated youth

For graduates, ITI diploma holders, or those with higher qualifications, the government has further increased the loan amount. Young people who want to start their own business in the service or trade sector will be given interest-free loans of up to ₹5 lakh. Eligible young people starting ventures in the manufacturing sector can receive loans of up to ₹10 lakh under this scheme. This amount can be very helpful in establishing small-scale industries.
