Gold Rate Weekly: Gold and silver prices have declined today, February 8, 2026. Significant fluctuations have been observed in gold and silver prices over the past week. Not only in the domestic market but also in the international market, gold and silver rates have experienced considerable volatility. On Friday, gold closed at ₹155,050 per ten grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), while silver closed at ₹2,49,499 per kilogram.

Due to today’s weekly holiday, trading on the domestic futures market, the Multi-Commodity Exchange, is closed. According to data from the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 999 purity gold remained at ₹1,52,078 per 10 grams until the market closed on Friday evening. Today, the price of 24-karat gold in India is ₹15,660 per gram. The rate for 22-karat gold is ₹14,355 per gram, while 18-karat gold is priced at ₹11,745 per gram.

MCX Gold Rates
Amid global uncertainty, MCX Gold April futures rose by more than 2% to ₹1,55,374 per 10 grams due to short covering and new hedging demand, while MCX Silver March futures rose by nearly 3% to ₹2,50,300 per kilogram.
