LIC Bima Sakhi: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has a special scheme for women. Insurance company LIC’s Bima Sakhi scheme is not only giving women an opportunity to become completely self-reliant, but through this scheme women can also earn a good income. Under this scheme, women are given training to become LIC agents and get a stipend of up to Rs 7,000 every month. Also, in a year, one can earn an extra income of up to Rs 48,000 from commission alone. The opportunity to take advantage of this scheme is open.
Why is there Bima Sakhi Yojana?
Under the Bima Sakhi Yojana, 10th pass girls and women are to be trained by LIC and during this time they will get a stipend for the first three years. Along with this, commission will also be given as per each policy. This scheme is special because it not only gives financial independence to women, but also increases the reach of insurance in rural areas. The combination of training, stipend and commission makes it a great opportunity.
Women joining the scheme will be given training for the first 3 years. During the training, they will get a monthly stipend of Rs 7000 in the first year, Rs 6000 in the second year and Rs 5000 in the third year. The Bima Sakhis who become a part of this scheme of LIC have to fulfill some necessary criteria to get the benefit of stipend.
Bonus benefit up to Rs 48,000
Under the Bima Sakhi Yojana, the selected female insurance agent has to sell at least 24 policies every year. On fulfilling this standard, the Bima Sakhis will get Rs 48000 annually as commission for 24 policies along with a monthly stipend. That is, they will earn Rs 2000 as commission on one policy. Apart from this, they will also get the benefit of bonus per policy.
According to the official website of LIC, the target of 24 policies has to be achieved in the first year. At least 65% of the 24 policies sold in the first stipend year, i.e. 16 plans, have to be kept active for the stipend in the second year. Similarly, at least 65% of the 24 policies sold in the second year have to be kept active for the stipend in the third year. In this way, they will continue to get the benefit of bonus and commission for 3 years.
Who is eligible
To become a Bima Sakhi, women must have at least a 10th pass certificate.
Women of at least 18 years and up to 70 years can become Bima Sakhi.
Women who have a bachelor’s degree will get a chance to become a development officer in LIC after three years of training.

After that fill your name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, address.
Now, if you are related to any Agent/Development Officer/Employee/Medical Examiner of LIC India, then provide the details and finally enter the captcha code and click on submit button.
In the next phase, the state and district will be selected. Fill this and click on the “Next” button.
After that the names of the branches under the district will appear. Select the branch where you want to work and click on “Submit Lead Form”.
After submitting the form, a message will appear on the screen and a message will also be sent to the mobile number given while filling the application.
