Aadhar linking with PAN card is mandatory
If media reports are to be believed, now it will be mandatory to have an Aadhaar card to make a PAN card. If your PAN card is not linked to the Aadhaar card, then you can link it till 31 December 2025. The department found that the same person has multiple PAN cards or the government is being misled while making tax payments by making PAN cards in the name of another person.
HDFC credit card
There is big news for HDFC credit card users. If you make payment of your HDFC credit card through a third party, then you will have to pay 1% charge. Third party apps like PhonePe, Paytm etc. are included.

Withdrawing money from ICICI ATM will be expensive
Withdrawing cash from ICICI ATM is now going to be expensive. From 1st July, i.e. today, ICICI has implemented new withdrawal charges on cash withdrawal. Now, for withdrawing cash beyond the limit in non-metro cities, a charge of Rs. 23 will be levied and in metro cities, a charge of Rs. 25 will be levied. This limit is up to 3 withdrawals in non-metro cities and 5 withdrawals in metro cities; no charges will be levied.
What changed in the railways?
Indian Railways is the favorite mode of transport of the middle class. It covers long distance journeys in less time and at less cost. Many major changes were made by the Railway Department. These changes will come into effect from today i.e. 1 July 2025. First let us know how much the railways has made the tickets of different coaches expensive.
Second Class – The railway ticket price of this coach has been increased by half paisa per kilometer.
Non AC or Sleep Class- Its ticket fare has been increased by 1 paisa per kilometer.
AC Class – There will be an increase of 2 paisa per kilometer.
Many people travel by train with Tatkal tickets. A big change is being made by the railways for them too. Now, while booking Tatkal tickets, Aadhaar card details will have to be given at the time of reservation. Along with this, the railways has also informed that the ticket will now come 8 hours in advance instead of 4 hours.
