Cardless Cash Withdrawal Process: In today’s digital age, smartphones have made banking much easier. If you ever forget your debit card at home or don’t have your card with you and need cash urgently, there’s no need to panic. Now, many ATMs allow you to withdraw money without a debit card. This facility is called cardless cash withdrawal, where you can withdraw cash directly from the ATM using a UPI app.
This feature is quite beneficial for those who don’t carry their debit cards all the time or prefer digital payments. However, it’s important to know some necessary conditions and precautions before using this facility.

What is required for cardless cash withdrawal?

To avail of this facility, your bank account must be linked to UPI, and you must have a verified UPI app like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, or BHIM on your mobile phone. Additionally, the ATM from which you are withdrawing money must have the Cardless Cash Withdrawal or UPI Cash Withdrawal option. A stable internet connection on your mobile phone, knowledge of your UPI PIN, and sufficient balance in your bank account are also necessary.
Process for withdrawing money without an ATM card

First, go to an ATM that supports cardless cash withdrawal. On the ATM screen, select the option for Cardless Cash, UPI Cash Withdrawal, or ICCW. In some ATMs, this option might be found under Other Transactions.

After this, a QR code or a 6-digit code will appear on the ATM screen. Now, open your UPI app on your mobile phone and select the Scan QR or Cash Withdrawal option. Scan the QR code displayed on the screen, or if a code is provided, enter the same code in the app.
Now, select the bank account from which the money will be deducted and enter the amount you want to withdraw. Generally, according to ATM and bank rules, an amount between ₹100 and ₹10,000 can be withdrawn at a time. After this, confirm the transaction by entering your UPI PIN.

As soon as the UPI transaction is successful, the ATM will immediately dispense the cash. After withdrawing the money, take the receipt and keep the transaction message or notification received on your mobile phone safe.
