FASTag: Big news for FASTag users. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a nationwide cleanliness campaign, rewarding commuters for reporting dirty toilets at toll plazas. The campaign, dubbed the “Clean Toilet Picture Challenge,” will see a reward of ₹1,000 deposited directly into the accounts of FASTag users.
This scheme, which will be in effect until October 31, 2025, applies to all toilets under the jurisdiction of the NHAI. This means that if anyone reports this by October 31, 2025, RS 1,000 will be deposited into their FASTag. This is part of the government’s ‘Special Campaign 5.0,’ which aims to enhance the cleanliness, transparency, and travel convenience of India’s national highway network.
