How to find a 15-year-old PF number
You can easily find a 15-year-old PF account by following a few steps. In most cases, older accounts from 15 years ago were not automatically linked to the UAN because the UAN system was introduced in 2014. To find such old PF numbers, you can use the methods given below.
If you remember the name of your old company, you can also try the Establishment Search. The employee will need to visit the official EPFO website and search by entering the Establishment name or old code. Once you find the company code, you can contact the HR department.

Go to the EPFO website. Then click on “Know Your UAN. You will need to enter your registered mobile number. An OTP will be sent. After that, you will need to enter your name, date of birth, Aadhaar or PAN. If the old account is linked, you will get your UAN.
You can also get help from a nearby office
You can visit the nearest EPFO office. You will need to carry your Aadhaar, PAN, old company name, joining/leaving dates, and any old documents. They will search their database and provide you with your old PF number. After obtaining the old PF number, you can link it to your UAN. PF account holders can easily file a complaint online. To file a complaint, visit epfigms.gov.in and select the ‘Inoperative/Old PF Account Details’ category. Providing company details, Aadhaar number, etc., will help them assist you.
