Updates in EPF Website and Form 13: Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made the Provident Fund (PF) account transfer and tax information easier easier than before. EPFO has updated Form 13, which has now become more fast and easier than before. Apart from this, now in Form 13, the taxable and non-taxable interest of PF will be shown separately. These changes will benefit more than 1.25 crore members of EPFO.

New Form 13 and PF transfer process improves

EPFO has launched a new version of Form 13, which has made it easier to transfer EPF account on changing jobs. Earlier, the employee had to get approval from both offices for PF transfer, which delayed the process. But now after the new system is implemented, the amount of PF will automatically be transferred to the new office (transforce office) as soon as the transfer from the old office (transfer office) is approved. This will not only save time but will also reduce the problems of the employees.

Taxable and non-taxable PF interest information

Another important change has been made in the new Form 13. Now the interest deposited in the PF account will be clearly shown in two parts-taxable and non-taxable. This will make tax -related process easier for both EPFO and its members. TDS can be deducted correctly on taxable interest, which will reduce the chances of any disturbance while filing tax later.

EPFO website improves

EPFO has also made many reforms on its website, so that works like auto-settlement will be done even faster. This will also benefit those members who want to settle their PF claim on time. Earlier, the claim was delayed due to technical reasons, but after new reforms, this process will be easier and better than before.

UAN generation also improves

EPFO has started the facility of generating UAN in bulk even without Aadhaar in certain circumstances. This facility will be especially beneficial for those members who have been associated with such PF trusts, which have now been merged with EPFO or whose exemption has been canceled. Apart from this, during recovery or legal proceedings, it can also be used in cases of transferring old PF deposits to EPFO. However, the UAN made without Aadhaar (Aadhaar) will be freeze initially and will be fully activated only after being linked to Aadhaar. This will improve the safety of the members of the members.
