Bihar Elections 2025: Preparations for the Bihar assembly elections are going on in full swing, for which all the political parties are engaged in full force. The Election Commission is also busy completing its other preparations with a special intensive revision of the voter list. The Election Commission has completed the process of rationalisation of polling stations in Bihar, as per the prescribed standard of a maximum of 1200 voters per polling station.

After the completion of the process, suggestions will also be shared by the election officials by holding a meeting with the representatives of the recognised political parties. The Election Commission has created 12817 new polling stations in the state. The Election Commission aims to conduct the elections with security and transparency.

How many polling stations have been increased in Bihar

Earlier, there were 77,895 polling stations in Bihar, but now 128,17 polling stations have been added to them. After this, the total number of polling stations in Bihar has increased to 90712. The Election Commission has done all this keeping in mind the convenience of the voters. The location of 338 polling stations in the state has been shifted to the nearest premises.

Along with this, the district-wise numerical list of newly constructed polling stations has been shared during a meeting held with recognized parties on Saturday. Additionally, instructions have also been given to the District Election Officers of all the districts. Soon the political parties will be informed about this information by the administration.

When is the election possible?

The Election Commission has not yet officially announced the dates of the elections. According to media reports, the dates can be announced by the last week of August. Elections are to be held on all 243 seats of the state.
