Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale has said that providing free food grains to people experiencing poverty will continue in the budget for 2025-26.

The government can change the income tax slab under the new tax system. There is speculation that a 30% tax rate can be implemented on an income level of more than ₹ 20 lakh.

Increasing the deduction limit of section 80C

There is also a discussion that the deduction limit under section 80C can also be increased this time. The maximum limit of deduction under section 80C is ₹ 1.5 lakh. However, due to inflation, experts demand the rise in government this limit further. It is being said that it can be increased to Rs 2 lakh annually.

This scheme will continue.

Ramdas Athawale said that giving free food grains to people experiencing poverty would continue in this year’s budget. Along with this, provision will also be made for the Drug Free India Campaign. He said this budget is going to prove beneficial for everyone.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, people with lpeoplemesget fivincomes getting free monthly from the Modi government.

Athawale said that the budget for 2025-26 is considered very good for farmers, the poor, youth, women, and the unemployed. The government will introduce many schemes, including Prime Minister Modi’s scheme of giving free food grains to 80 crore people.
