Railway Bonus Hike: Good news for some railway employees. Group C personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) will receive an ad hoc bonus equivalent to 30 days’ salary in the financial year 2024-25. The Railway Board has issued a letter to all zones, including the North Central Railway, regarding this.
This bonus will be awarded without any salary eligibility limit. The Railway Board clarified that all Group ‘C’ RPF/RPSF personnel, whether uniformed or non-uniformed, will be eligible for this bonus. This bonus will be awarded without any salary eligibility limit.
However, the maximum monthly limit for calculating the bonus is set at Rs 7,000, based on which an eligible employee will receive a maximum bonus of Rs 6,908. To be eligible for the bonus, the employee must be in service on March 31, 2025, and have at least six months of continuous service in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
Employees with more than six months of service will be paid pro-rata based on their length of service. CPRO Shashikant Tripathi said the bonus brings significant relief to employees ahead of the upcoming festive season. This bonus is an effort to honor the dedication and devotion of Railway Protection Force personnel who strengthen the railway’s security system.
Recently like every year, this time too the central government has announced a hike in bonus and dearness allowance (DA) for employees ahead of the festive season. This means that this decision is bringing financial relief to the employees and an extra boost in salaries before the festival.
This time the central government has given two good news to the employees, one is a bonus, the second is a 3% increase in DA. DA has now increased from 55% to 58%. This increase will be effective from July 1, 2025, which means that the errors of the months of July, August, and September will also be added to the October salary. If we consider that there was also a 2% increase in March, it is like getting a 5% gain for the entire year.
