During the festive season, when farmers are waiting for the 21st installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana installment, a important news popped up. Government has found some I’ll practices from the receiver’s end. To solve the issue, a hard step can be taken.
What is the issue?
An update has emerged regarding the PM Kisan Yojana. A large number of fake beneficiaries have been identified under this scheme. An investigation is underway. If these individuals are found guilty, they will not receive benefits. If you are also a member of PM Kisan and receiving benefits from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, this news is extremely important for you to know.
According to media reports, the government has initiated major action under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi) scheme, launched for millions of farmers across the country. A verification campaign launched by the central government has revealed the names of millions of suspicious beneficiaries. According to information, approximately 31.01 lakh farmers across the country have been placed on the suspect list. These include people who were violating rules and receiving double benefits. The government has now taken a strict stance on this issue and has given clear instructions to all states to complete the verification of all cases.
KYC is must
According to the Agriculture Ministry, investigations have revealed that these 31 lakh cases include families in which both husband and wife are registered as beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Yojana. However, under the scheme’s rules, only one member of a family consisting of husband, wife and minor children can be given an annual amount of Rs 6,000. According to the ministry, out of 31.01 lakh cases in states and union territories, verification of 19.02 lakh beneficiaries has been completed. Of these, 17.87 lakh cases, or about 94%, were found where both husband and wife were receiving benefits under the scheme.
The Ministry has appealed to farmers whose families include both husband and wife receiving benefits to update their data themselves. Furthermore, farmers should ensure that their e-KYC, land records, and Aadhaar linking processes are complete. If farmers fail to update their information themselves, they may lose their next installment.
